An implant is, simply put, a replacement for an extracted tooth root. It can be placed in both jaws where a tooth is missing. It serves as a support for a dental crown. A crown can be placed on the implant when one tooth needs to be replaced, or two or more implants can be placed to support a bridge for replacing multiple missing teeth. The implant is made of titanium, which is a biocompatible material, so the body fully accepts it and does not cause allergic reactions.
Today, there are a variety of prosthetic solutions for replacing missing teeth using implants, which has greatly improved oral health and rehabilitation.
Implant therapy restores the security and efficiency of chewing, with a natural tooth-like feeling, and high aesthetics, as even the most demanding aesthetic situations can now be successfully solved with implants.
Advantages of Implant Placement:
By placing four, or sometimes two implants, dentures can be attached, which can be easily removed and cleaned, then returned to the mouth. These dentures are stable, restore confidence, and allow the patient to enjoy life again.
If it is possible to place six implants, they provide a stable foundation for attaching a bridge.
n a single surgical procedure, all remaining teeth were extracted, and six implants were placed in each jaw.
After a few months needed for the implants to osseointegrate, two Atlantys ISUS bridges were created in both jaws, individually designed according to the patient’s needs and measurements, using CAD-CAM technology. They were made in the Dentsply Sirona reference center in Germany with special additive 3D printing technology for metal.
Aesthetic ceramics are applied to the printed metal structures, and the work is screwed into the patient’s mouth, avoiding the need for cementing and allowing for easy removal and possible repair if needed.
